Related to our recent Dream Meetups, "Nightmares, Monsters, Demons, and Dead People" and "Tips and Techniques: Beginner to Advanced," WBUR radio recently aired an installment of On Point called "Monsters and Our Worst Fears."
Not only was the radio show about monsters, fears, and phobias, but it was also about the dark side of human nature, our inner demons. The inner demons may be even scarier than the outer ones. What evil lurks within us? What does our obsession with monster stories tell us about ourselves? One of Kurt Leland's 8 characters is the Shadow, which expresses our dark side to us in our dreams. Our dreams will often show us what we are afraid to look at in our waking lives. Often by facing these fears and by dialoging with the Shadow characters in our dreams we can learn and grow and evolve as spiritual beings. Edited by Deerheart on Nov 22, 2009 6:36 PM |
