I have years of journals full of dreams and other stuff, and now I'm taking the plunge into journaling software! There are really cool tools to help enter lots of dated notes with abilities to tag paragraphs with topics for quick searching and crossreference. I plan to enter lots of stuff that i've already been accumulating in too many files and notebooks (paper).
There are really interesting dream journal programs that give automatic dream analyses and statistics, like Alchera at http://mythwell.com...  and www.dreamanswers.com. Alchera allows you to embed images, dreamanswers doesn't but has deeper interpretations. For dreams and more, www.lifejournal.com is very nicely layed out with a timeline builder for writing memoirs, but I plan to get The Journal at www.davidrm.com which is less elegant but more powerful for searching. Unfortunately you can't get everything in one program, you have to pick which is best for you. |

This would be a great topic for one of our Meetups, "Electronic Dream Journaling," including online dream journals and dream blogs. I look forward to seeing your new dream journal. The tagging and search functions would be very helpful for quickly finding particular dreams and comparing dreams.
I have not yet taken the big plunge, but I do have a dream blog, Deerheart Dreams, that has a some of my most significant dreams. |
